Our commitment to Be Better

Our Vision at Blanchardstown Centre is to ‘Be Better’. Our ESG strategies and activities to date have seen hugely positive results. We have accomplished many milestones to date including our recycling strategies which ensure zero waste to landfill and focused activities and supports across local communities. Reducing our carbon footprint and committing to aligning to a net zero carbon by 2050 is key to our strategy and ensures that Blanchardstown Centre will be recognised as a leader in ESG and sets a clear pathway to continually strive to enhance our commitments to our environment.  We have defined 3 pillars as part of this strategy.

  1. Better Together
  2. Better Communities
  3. Better Spaces

At Blanchardstown Centre we pride ourselves on being inclusive for all our customers and employees. We have upgraded all of our services and facilities including the introduction of an adult changing facility called Changing Places and new family feeding room as part of our commitment to be Ireland’s leading retail destination. Our strategy is to ‘Be Better’ and have a positive impact across our Centre, our surrounding communities & build a better future together.

Our aim is to always do whats Right

Better

At Blanchardstown Centre we pride ourselves on being inclusive for all our customers and employees. We work hard across all of our sites to help and support people to recognise and fulfil their potential. We have upgraded all of our services and facilities including the introduction of an accessible changing places room and new family feeding room. Better
Spaces

From low consumption LED lighting to the introduction of wild flower gardens for bees we are doing our best to move towards a greener world. Our newly refurbished carparks have been fitted with Electric Charging stations and we are introducing improved parking facilities for bikes & e-scooters. We are very proud of our recycling programme which sees 0% to landfill and our support of a circular economy. Click on the link below to find out more.

It all comes down to looking after our Local Community

St. Francis Hospice Dublin

‘Since 2007 the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre management, retailers and customers have demonstrated extraordinary support for St. Francis Hospice Dublin, its patients and families.  All fundraising efforts in the Centre have been facilitated with creativity, enthusiasm and great commitment.  We will always be deeply grateful to the Blanchardstown Centre management who were so pivotal in the raising of funds for the construction of St. Francis Hospice Blanchardstown which resulted in the provision of high quality palliative care services to the surrounding community and its environs.    Our partnership with the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is extremely important to the hospice and we very much look forward to our continued relationship into the future.’

Finding your way through Grief

For teenagers and young adults” is the first book in the Irish context designed as a resource for young people themselves to use as they navigate their way through bereavement and loss.

This book was written by the social work team of St Francis Hospice Dublin in collaboration with bereaved teenagers. These young people speak in the book about what helped them in their grief, and we hope this will help others understand how grief can affect us and what can help.

Thanks to sponsorship by Amazon Web Services, this book is available free of charge to anyone who might find it helpful.
