Keeping Communities Safe Together

Blanchardstown Centre is honoured to partner with Blakestown Drive Community Group [BDCG] by sponsoring the first Dot Peen Property Marking Machine for use by An Garda Síochána in the Dublin 15 area.  The machine is exclusively supplied by Property Marking Ireland and works by stamping the owner’s Eircode onto the property item to be marked.

The Property Marking machine was handed over in Blanchardstown Centre by Centre Manager Joe Gavin and James O’Neill PMI to representatives of An Garda Síochána Blanchardstown who will be putting it to good use as part of their community based proactive Crime Prevention Policy.

The centre also announced that they will be hosting a number of regular bike marking events where members of the public will be invited to have their bikes marked with their Eircode

It’s a Fact- Property carrying permanent identification markings are less likely to be targeted by thieves. This unique Eircode will also assist An Garda Síochána in the return of stolen marked property to its rightful owner and can be used on everything from steel to plastic.

Blanchardstown Centre is delighted to support BDCG and our community in such a tangible way and to work with the Gardai to support Community Safety in Blanchardstown.

This initiative is a prime example of Community Partnership Integration in Practice.
